Google traffic, 10'000 requests per seconds?

Estimating traffic on Google's data centers is difficult.

But here very rough estimation:
* 1 bn people worldwide using Google once a day.
* => 1bn / 100'000 secs / day /day

This would roughly result in 10'000 pages per seconds worldwide.

Assuming a distribution on 10 data center and doubeling the nightly traffic this break down to 2'000 pages per data center and seconds.

The Apache Hello World Benchmark result in officially support 2'000 pages per seconds of "complex" 30k data delivered, including paremeter handling.

OMC-Cs: This may even assume, that an intelligen form of Apache may be sufficient to load-balance deliver from the Google backend.
